Rams Edge Vikings 1-0

FRAMINGAHM, Mass. -- Framingham State's Isabella Kondi scored the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute to lead the Rams to a 1-0 victory over Salem State in Little East Conference field hockey action Thursday evening at Maple Street Field. Framingham State is now 8-4 and 4-4 in the LEC. The Vikings are 4-8 and 2-6 in conference. 

 

 

In the 43rd minute the Rams had a penalty corner that was sent in by Brandi Core. Kondi settled at the top of the arch and sent a strike toward the cage, thru traffic that tucked inside the right post for the games lone score.    

Angelina Barrett earned the win in goal for the Rams while Ashley Yebba took the loss making four saves in her first start. 

The Rams were led by Corlene Guenard's three shots, all on net. Melanie Mason led the Vikings with three shots while Hannah Cochran registered the lone shot on net for Salem State.  

The Rams outshot Salem 8-to-5 overall and had four penalty corners to the Vikings one.
