Salem State Doubles Up New England College 4-2

HENNIKERNH. – Kylie Currier (Middleton, Mass.) registered a hat -trick as Salem State defeated New England College for the second time this season, 4-2  in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action on Saturday evening. The Pilgrims drop to 0-8-0 on the season, while the Vikings move to 2-4-1. 

Trailing 1-0 in the first, Currier scored her first goal on a power-play opportunity to tie things up at 1-1. In the second, the Pilgrims regained the lead on a four on three power-play opportunity before Currier responded again, tying things up at 2-2 as the teams headed into the third. Currier gave Salem State its first lead at 16:44 of the third before Rose Sullivan (Charlestown, Mass.) capped the scoring with a goal at the 5:55 mark. 

Sarah Plourde (Hooksett, N.H.) made 32 saves in the win.
