Four Vikings Named to Little East All-Conference Team

SALEM, Mass. – Andrew Muttiah (Colombo, Sri Lanka) and Roni Bazile (Brockton, Mass.) headline this year's class of Salem State players selected to the 2019 Little East All-Conference Team as selected by the league's seven head coaches.

Muttiah and Bazile were selected all-conference first team at singles while Muttiah and Chen Chen (Lawrence, Mass.) earned first team honors at doubles.

Mitchell Dyer (N. Attleboro, Mass.) and Chen were named All-Little East Second Team at singles with Dyer and Bazile landed a spot on the conference's second team doubles list.

Muttiah the 2018 Player of the Year, is making his second consecutive appearance on the first team after posting an 8-3 mark at first singles while leading the Vikings to the conference championship for the second straight season. Bazile went 7-2 at No.2 singles, attaining the highest winning percentage (.778) in the conference at second flight. The duo of Muttiah and Chen are a first time selection to the first team after going 7-1 at the top doubles position.

Dyer went 5-1 at third singles while Chen accumulated an undefeated mark at fourth doubles, finishing the year 6-0 as both players earned selection to the all-conference second team. Dyer and Bazile went 5-1 at second doubles to claime second team honors.
