Wildcats Double Up Vikings 6-3

Providence, R.I. -- Andrew Muttiah (Colombo, Sri Lanka) claimed victories at first singles and doubles and Johnson Ngandjui (Lynn, Mass.) earned his first collegiate win at sixth singles, but Johnson & Wales rolled to a 6-3 victory over Salem State on Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats improve to 8-4 on the season while the Vikings slip to 2-4.

Muttiah defeated Will Lyons 6-2, 6-2 and teamed with Chen Chen (Lawrence, Mass.) at first doubles for an 8-6 victory over Franz Fonck / Alexander Rohana. Ngandjui won a hard fought match, beating Robert Michalofsky 4-6, 1-0 (4-10). 

Johnson & Wales won two-of-three doubles matches with Gianni Rodrigues / Lyons beating Roni Bazile (Brockton, Mass.) / Noah Hodgkins (Winthrop, Mass.) 8-4 at second doubles while Steven Heizler / Brandon Case winning 8-2 over Ngandjui / Arman Chaharom (Melrose, Mass.).

Rohana earned a 6-1, 6-2 decision at second singles while Fonck won 6-4, 7-5 over Chen.
