Bio

Correia was hired as the Head Men's Soccer Coach in August of 2017, winning the conference championship with an undefeated league record in his first season and delivering the Vikings to the NCAA Tournament.  In his first 4 seasons at Salem State, the team has reached the championship game three times with MASCAC Tournament Championships in 2017 and 2021.  In those 4 seasons the team has compiled a regular season conference record of 24-1-3. 

Correia, who led Daniel Webster for six seasons, built a highly successful program during his tenure. The two-time New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Coach of the Year, led the Eagles to three straight NECC titles, and three straight NCAA Division III Tournament berths, which included the school's first tournament win in the program's history this past season. 

As head coach, Correia has compiled an impressive 141-68-22 record over his 12 seasons, while coaching 53 all-conference selections, including the conference top goalkeeper eight times, conference top rookie five times and the conference player of the year seven times.   

A native of Dracut, Mass., Correia is a 2010 graduate of UMass Dartmouth where he played four seasons of varsity soccer for the Corsairs while serving as team captain his junior and senior years. In addition, Correia has several years of experience working club soccer, youth camps, and clinics and is a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma recipient.
