Meireles Named All-New England Second Team

SALEM, Mass. – Midfielder Gabriel Meireles (Everett, Mass.) was named to the 2018 United Soccer Coaches All-New England Second Team on Tuesday. Meireles, the only freshman to be named to either the first or second team, led all freshman in scoring in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) this season, tallying 23 points (8g, 7a) while spearheading the Vikings' offense as one of the league's top passing midfielder's as his seven assists were third most in the conference this year. 

This is the second straight season a Vikings' player earned second team All-New England honors, as former MASCAC Player and Rookie of the Year Mayele Malango was named to the second team in 2017.
