Endicott Defeats Salem State 7-1

BEVERLY, Mass. -- Brody Heleno (Mississauga, Ontario) tallied his first goal of the season, but Endicott scored six unanswered goals enroute to a 7-1 victory over Salem State at Raymond J. Bourque Arena on Sunday. The Gulls improve to 4-3-1 while the Vikings go to 2-5.

The Gulls took a quick 3-0 lead in the first period on goals from Josh Bowes(Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), Hunter Luhmann (Lebanon, N.H.), and Jonathan Waring (Farmington Hills, Mich.). Endicott added two more in the second from Daniel Kucerovy (Bethel Park, Pa.) and Carter Horwitz (Tustin, Calif.) to make it a 5-0 contest.

The Gulls the finished off the victory as Luhmann and Kucerovy each found the back of the net for the second time in the game at 2:28 and 16:42, respectively. Salem State did break up the shutout as Helen converted at 8:25 of the third, on the power play.

Connor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) made 22 saves for Endiicott while Olivier Lacroix (Montreal, Quebec) recorded 46 saves for the Vikings.
