Bio

Preziosa brings with him a wealth of coaching experience, having served as a head coach and assistant coach at the high school level and collegiate level. 

Preziosa earned his Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching, graduating from Bunker Hill Community College.  During his time at Bunker Hill, Preziosa played two years of basketball at BHCC. 

For the past 15 years, Preziosa has been active in the Boston Area Basketball coaching scene. Preziosa got his start at his Alma Mater in 2002 where he served as Head Men's Basketball coach through 2005.  During the 2005 season Bunker Hill recorded a 23-12 record and won the NJCAA Region 21 Championship earning the first NJCAA National Tournament berth in school history, Preziosa was named the 2005 Region 21 Coach of the Year for his efforts.

Preziosa has had multiple stints as both Associate Head Coach and Assistant Coach at Salem State University, he was on staff during the 2006 and 2012 seasons when Salem won the MASCAC championship and advanced to the NCAA tournament.

In 2007 Preziosa became the first Head Men's Basketball Coach at Wheelock College and coached the team through the 2011 season.  During his time at Wheelock he was responsible for for taking the team from a 1-23 record to a 16-11 record in just two years time.  Preziosa recruited five 1,000 point scorers throughout his tenure at Wheelock.

Coach Prez served as an Assistant coach for one season at Emmanuel College during the 2017 season., 

Preziosa has enjoyed stints at Melrose High School, Bishop Fenwick High School and his Alma Mater Malden High School.  At all three schools he has coached his teams to postseason play.

John resides in Melrose with wife Gina, and sons Marino and Gino.  Preziosa is employed at Arlington HS.
