SALEM, MASS. --  Fourth-year head coach Stephanie Rouse hopes to move the program forward after back-to-back 2-14 campaigns. Despite a 1-10 finish in the Little East in 2017, with three of the losses coming by just one goal, coach Rouse is optimistic that Salem State will be more competitive in the league, which will produce a better result in the standings.

KEY PLAYERS

Vanessa Yavorski (Georgetown, Mass.) and Casie Curtin (Wrentham. Mass.) are back to lead the offense. Yavorksi is the top returning scorer while Curtin brings reliable experience to the midfield line. Co-captains Alyssa Drouin (Methuen, Mass.) and Katherine Crane (Arlington, Mass.) also return to spearhead the offense and defense. Both seniors will be relied upon to provide a steady presence and leadership.

Newcomers include Allie Couillard (Tewksbury, Mass.) and two goalies, Kaitlyn O'Shea (Roxbury, N.J.) & Kelli McCarthy (Foxborough, Mass.). All are expected to compete for playing time as Coach Rouse looks to strengthen the defensive side of the field.
