Jimmy Burton Named MASCAC Pitcher of the Week

SALEM, Mass. -- Jimmy Burton (Rutland, Mass.) was named the GEICO MASCAC Pitcher of the Week. Burton allowed five hits and one earned run with five strikeouts over 8.2 innings pitched, including a three-hit shutout in the Vikings 8-0 win over Husson University. The freshnman went six innings, scattering three hits with four strikeouts in a victory over the Eagles. He allowed a run on two hits in 2.2 innings in the 17-8 setback to Anna Maria College.
