BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 10 Endicott men's ice hockey team lost to Salem State, 4-3 (OT), in non-conference action on Tuesday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
Trailing 3-0 in the third period, Endicott rattled off three straight goals to force the extra session.
Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.), Jack Costanzo (Gloucester, Mass.), and Ryan Willett (Bayville, N.Y.) buried tallies at 9:39, 10:49, and 15:54 (PP), respectively, for the Gulls.
Salem State showed resolve in overtime, however, as Mitch Wilkie (Calgary, Alberta) potted his second career game-winner at the 3:06 mark.
In goal, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) made 18 saves in a relief effort off the bench (43:06, 5-2-0 overall).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Vikings are undefeated on the road this season (4-0-0).
- Salem State goalie Will Nepveu (Montreal, Quebec) made a career-high 65 saves.
- Willett registered his sixth multi-point game of the season (1g-1a—2p).
- Willett now has 84 career points (18g-66a—84p).
