Women's Soccer Upends Salem State, 9-1

SALEM, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team defeated Salem State by a score of 9-1 on Tuesday evening at Alumni Field.

The Gulls offense dominated right from the start, scoring four goals in the first half and five more in the second. 

Endicott's goals were tallied by Gabrielle Klindtworth (Guilderland, N.Y.) in the eighth minute, Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) in the 17th and 53rd minutes, Ella Morgan (Salem, Mass.) in the 29th and 40th minutes, Kelly Talerico (Portland, Conn.) in the 35th minute, Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.) in the 46th minute, Hannah Lord (Bedford, N.H.) in the 56th, and Alexandria Dostie (Essex Junction, Vt.) in the 70th.

Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.) started and played out the first half in net for the Blue and Green, while Samantha MacCormack (Danvers, Mass.) handled the second half duties.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The eight-goal win margin is the largest for the Gulls since October 5, 2021 (10-0 vs. Salem State).
  • Morgan and Rischitelli each notched their first career multi-goal games.
  • MacCormack posted a shutout 45 minutes in her collegiate debut, turning away four shots from the Vikings.
  • In addition to her 46th minute goal, Jewett also dished out two assists in the second half. Gillian Magnier (Shelburne, Vt.) tallied Endicott's only other assist in the match.
  • A season-high 31 Gulls saw playing time on the field.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (8-2-1, 2-0-1 CCC) travels to Bello Field in Medford to face Tufts on Thursday at 4 PM. Salem State (3-7-1) visits Bridgewater State on Saturday for a 12 PM contest.
