THE LEAD – Lesley travelled to Salem State for a non-conference game last night, losing to the Vikings 103-56, dropping to 1-3 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Salem quickly established a 6-2 lead over the Lynx to start the match. The Vikings hit two back to back three pointers sparking a 16-0 run over Lesley, which ended with a three-pointer from Kai Burridge.
- Following Burridge's three pointers Lesley fought back with a 5-0 run, halted by a timeout from the Vikings bench. Lesley trailed by 16 headed into halftime.
- Lesley returned to the court hoping to make a comeback, with a quick layup from Malachi Howard, followed by a steal to give the Lynx some momentum. The Vikings continued to put points on the board and led the Lynx 63-41 with 14 minutes left in the game.
- A three-pointer from Alexander Curtis brought the Lynx to a 20 point deficit forcing Salem to push on the gas.
- Lesley continued to push but dropped to the Vikings 103-56.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Howard led the Lynx with 20 points, eight rebounds and three steals.
- Tarell Joseph went 4-for-7 on the floor, finishing the match with nine points.
