Bio

While at Salem Teacher’s College, Reed played three sports. A forward in basketball, Reed was a standout player on the varsity basketball teams of 1924 and 1925 when the sport was in its earliest stages. Reed was the second highest scorer on the ’24 team which went undefeated. In 1925, Reed led the team in scoring and was named Most Valuable Performer for STC which lost just one game that season. Reed also was a catcher on the varsity baseball team in 1924 and a track performer in 1925. Reed, who graduated with academic honors, resides in Andover with her husband Frederick.
