Scott was chosen a first team All-New England Division 3 performer his junior year. A team captain his senior year, he was one of the nation’s leading hitters as a junior when he helped lead SSC to a 24-8 record. Scott’s first team All New-England selection as a left fielder landed him a spot in the annual Fenway Park College All-Star game. He drew a game-ending bases loaded walk in the 10^th inning which enabled the College Division 2-3 team to upset the University Division, 2-1.

Scott was also a member of the 1983 team which secured the program’s first ever NCAA tournament bid. During his 1985 senior season, the Vikings posted a 34-6 record.
