Bio

Playing at the varsity level in both baseball (four years) and soccer (three years), DiGiacomo won many individual awards and was selected as a co-captain of both teams. A four year starter in baseball, he compiled a .380 batting average. A highlight of his career was his role in helping his team to an undefeated season and the New England State College baseball Championship in 1963. Following graduation, he taught for seven years, and has, for the past fifteen years, been a school administrator currently serving as Assistant Principle at Brooks-Hobbs Magnet School in Medford. In addition to coaching, he has remained active by playing with the Hosmer Chiefs and as an official in several sports at both the High School and collegiate levels. He is a member of numerous sports officiating groups and serves as the commissioner for several soccer leagues.

DiGiacomo and his wife, the former Joan Dellacasa ’64, live in Medford. Three daughters, Jane, Joanne, Julie and a son James, a member of the class of 1988, complete the family picture.
