Bio

A transfer player from UMass-Stockbridge, Peter Bruni spent three highly successful seasons at Salem State as a member of the Vikings’ golf team. Bruni was named Salem State’s second golf All-American in 1973 after participating in the NCAA Championships that same year. A highly respected player among his peers, Bruni reflected the qualities of a true-student athlete. A member of two Massachusetts State Collegiate .Athletic Conference Championship teams, Bruni also competed in the three New England State College Championships and two NAIA District 32 Championships. In 1971 his overtime match victory helped Salem State claim the 1971 New England State College Championship. An all-around talented athlete, Bruni also played varsity basketball for the Vikings in 1972-73.
