Bio

Melissa, a member of the class of 2002, earned Kodak District 1 Honorable Mention All-American honors twice during her four-year SSC basketball career. Melissa, who is still the program’s second all-time leading scorer with 1.574 points, was a four-time Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference all-star and 2000-01 New England Women’s basketball Coaches Association Division 3 Player of the Year. Melissa, who played guard, was a member of four MASCAC championship teams and four NCAA Tournament teams, including the 1998-99 Final Four team which placed third. Melissa helped engineer SSC’s stunning 76-60 upset of host Williams college in the 1999 NCAA Northeast/ Atlantic sectional final. She served as a team co-captain and led the team in scoring her senior year.
