Bio

For three decades, Salem State head coach Ken Perrone was the face of the university’s baseball program. Under his leadership the Vikings amassed a record of 674-394-5, making him Salem State’s all-time leader in career wins. One of the top 30 coaches all-time in NCAA Division III history for victories, his Salem State baseball teams were selected for post-season tournament play twenty-four (24) times. During his tenure, he won five Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference titles which resulted in three NCAA Tournament appearances including the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament win in 2006. A native of New Britain, Connecticut, Perrone, a 1959 graduate of the University of Maine was a four-year, all-conference second baseman for the Black Bears.
