Bio

A resident of Walpole, Jill Russell Lucey is the most decorated All-American in the storied history of Salem State College intercollegiate athletics. From 1986 through 1990, Jill was one of the most dominant student athletes at any level in all of college athletics. Russell quickly left her mark on the college scene as a freshman when she won four All-American certificates. She capped off her “rookie” season by being crowned New Englandand national vaulting champion. She placed fourth in the national all-around competition after leading SSC to its first of four straight New England Division 3 titles. Her sophomore year saw Jill capture the ECAC all-around championship while leading the Lady Vikings to the ECAC crown and an eighth place finish in the nationals, while receiving All-American honors in the vault and floor exercise events. She was selected as the College’s female Presidents Cup Award recipient her junior year. Jill is employed by Salem State College as a Project Manager for the Wellness ConnectionCenter.
