Bio

A resident of East Sandwich and native of Billerica, Jim Todd spent nine years at Salem State College as head coach of men’s basketball from 1987-88 through 1995-96. He was the head coach of Salem State College golf his last three years at the college leading the Viking linksters to the NCAA tournament each year. Jim led the Viking hoopsters to nine MASCAC titles, seven NCAA playoff appearances and one ECAC tournament bid. He posted a nine-year record of 192 wins and 57 losses (.771) including a 110-10 (.917) MASCAC record. He guided the 1990-91 squad to a 26-2 overall mark (second best in Salem State College’s men’s hoop history) and to the first of two consecutive NCAA sweet 16 appearances. A graduate of Fitchburg State College, Jim was chosen New England Division 3 Coach of the year after the 26-2 season. He spent seven seasons as an assistant coach at Columbia, Marist and Manhattan prior to arriving at Salem State College. Jim has served as an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks since leaving Salem in August 1996.
