Bio
Dr. Amsler served as the College’s tenth President from 1979 to 1989. He was the driving force behind the success and notoriety SSC achieved at the national level in intercollegiate athletics. The former Boston red Sox minor league performer was a charter appointee from the New England Region to the NCAA President’s Commission on Athletics. Dr. Amsler is retired after over 40 years of service to public higher education. He and his wife, Frances, reside in Chatham.
