Salem State Participates at the Sage Fall Invitational

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Salem State went 0-2 at the Sage Fall Invitational to slip to 0-8 on the year. The Vikings lost their opening match 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-23) to Elms before the host Gators knocked off Salem State 3-0 (26-24, 25-13, 25-13).

Against the Blazers, Salem State received a team-high nine kills and a pair of blocks from Sarah Janco (Methuen, Mass.). Morgan Adams (Scotia, N.Y.) paced the Vikings with 20 assists and nine digs while Emily Hennessy (Hanover, Mass.) had 12 digs and three aces. 

Haley Reed (Goffstown, N.H.) led Salem State with nine kills against Sage while once again, Janco was among the stat leaders with seven kills and four digs. Hennessy had 15 digs and four kills with Adams tallying a season-best 26 assists.

Janco and Reed were both named to the Sage All-Invitational Team.
