Chargers Blank Vikings 3-0

NEW LONDON, N.H. – Salem State was beaten 3-0 by Colby-Sawyer on Friday afternoon. The Chargers won 25-14, 25-16 and 25-17 to improve to 4-6 on the season. The Vikings remain winless at 0-4.

Salem State received five kills from first-year Sarah Janco (Methuen, Mass.) and senior Haley Reed (Goffstown, N.H.). Janco hit .625 with five kills on eight attempts and no errors. Senior setter Morgan Adams (Scotia, N.Y.) finished with 16 assists, eight digs and a pair of aces. Junior Genevieve Kempster (Hopedale, Mass.) picked up a match best 15 digs to go with four aces. 

Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) Allen had 19 assists to achieve the 1000 assists milestone in just her second season. Senior Naarah Cox (Boston, Mass.) led all attackers with 13 kills on .478 hitting. She added two solo blocks and a block assist. Sophomore Riley Codman (Dublin, N.H.) hit .263 to finish with six kills. Senior Morgan Flynn (Reading, Mass.) registered a team best 13 digs.
