Cougars Post 8-0 Win Over Vikings

SALEM ,Mass. – Gabriella Herivaux (Canton, Mass.) scored twice and Jamie Joseph (Cazenivia, N.Y.) added two goals and an assist as Clark beat Salem State 8-0 at Alumni Field on Saturday afternoon. The Cougars improve to 2-1 wile the Vikings remain winless at 0-3.

Tziachris broke the 0-0 tie in the 41^st minute of the first half, putting home a feed from Joseph from 10 yards out. Tziachris reciprocated in the 44^th minute, setting up Joseph, who beat Lily Pfefferle (St. Paul, Minn.) to her right with a shot from 20 yards out.

Joseph collected her second goal of the game in the 51^st minute, before a corner attempt set up Clark's four goal as Cassidy Hubbard (Kalaheo, Hawaii) headed in a rebound in the 57^th minute. Evelyn Selser (South Portland, Maine) and Emma Shaughnessy (Fairfield, Conn.) converted back-to-back goals, making it 6-0 before Herivaux added two scores with both assists coming from Shaughnessy, making the final 8-0.

Anabella White (Manhatten Beach, Calif.) made three saves in goal for the Cougars while Pfefferle stopped 19 shots for the Vikings.
