SALEM, Mass. - Veronyca Daniel (Concord, N.H.) scored five goals to help the Plymouth State Panthers shutout the Salem State Vikings 16-0 on Tuesday at Alumni Field. Plymouth State improves to 1-3 on the year while the Vikings fall to 1-3 on the season.

Kimberly Zuccaro (Townsend, Mass.) - 3 goals, Sam Fiore (Merrimac, Mass.) - 3 goals, Sydney Dubois (Goffstown, N.H.) - 2 goals, Hannah Chartier (Weare, N.H.) - 1 goal, Elizabeth McLaughlin (Melvin Village, N.H.) - 1 goal, Sarah Thompson (Hooksett, N.H.) - 1 goal all scored for Plymouth State.

Just over two minutes into the game, Fiore scored the opening goal for the Panthers. Veronyca Daniel then dominated, scoring four straight goals within six minutes to bring the score 6-0 with 16:28 left in the first half. With 6:09 remaining in the first half, Rose Sullivan (Charlestown, Mass.) picked up a yellow card. With the advantage, Chartier netted the final goal of the half as Plymouth State led 12-0.

The Panthers added four more goals to extend their lead in the second half.  

For Plymouth State, Meaghan Allard (Amherst, N.H.) made two saves while Emilee Wargo (Madison, Conn.) only faced one shot in 30 minutes of action. For the Vikings, Gianna DeNisco (Peabody, Mass.) saved seven shots in the first half and Trisha Maclean (Medford, Mass.) stopped six shots after halftime.
