Both teams had opportunities to score during the first period and majority of the second period. The Pilgrims capitalized on the opportunity. Cortney Reyes (Chino Hills, Calif.) won a faceoff in the attacking zone. Maisie Tatum-Borich (Newport Beach, Calif.) slid the puck across the faceoff circle to Tara Turcotte (Huntington Beach, Calif.) who fired a shot home from the slot. That is the first goal of Turcotte's collegiate career.
