Salem State and Pine Manor Battle to 1-1 Draw

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — The Salem State men's soccer team (9-4-1) battled to a 1-1 tie wth Pine Manor College (9-2-2) on Wednesday afternoon to extend its unbeaten streak to five games. Paa Sowe (Lynn, MA) netted the Vikings' lone goal of the game one minute into the match off a through pass from Fabricio Torres (Lima, Peru). 

With three minutes remaining in regulation, Pine Manor netted the equalizer to knot the score up at 1-1. Goalkeepers Christopher Jimenez and Matthew Hauntsman split time between the pipes for the Vikings. Hauntsman entered the game midway through the first half, and finished out the match with 10 stops. 

Salem State, which is undefeated in league play, returns to the pitch on Friday (October 18) in a conference match-up with Mass. Maritime (2-9-3, 0-3-1 MASCAC).
