Bio

Campbell, a former Gordon McCullough Award winner, was head coach of the Vikings from 2002-2018. He led the golf program to 34 team tournament titles, and has produced 35 individual champions. Campbell was also named the NCAA Northeast District 1 Coach of the Year in 2007.
 
Campbell directed Salem State to two NCAA Tournament appearances and seven Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference championships, including six individual titles and one North Atlantic Conference Championship with one individual champion. He has also coached seven All-Americans and five all-region golfers during his tenure.
 
As a three-year player for Salem State, the two-time captain competed in three NCAA Championships: 1970,1971,1972, and also played in the International Tournament at the famed St. Andrews Golf Club in Scotland where he earned the low round trophy, and finished 6th overall. He was a 1972 medalist at the ECAC Regional Tournament, and finished 5th overall at the ECAC Finals which was hosted by the Bethpage Country Club.
