Salem State Places 18th at Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Salem State finished 18th at the 2019 Williams College Invitational Tournament this past weekend. The event was played, at the par-71 Taconic Golf Club. Ian Paskowski was the top finisher for the Vikings, tying for 57th place with a two-day 157 (80, 77 +15). Salem State scored a 636 (322, 314 +68) in the 25 team field.

The Babson Beavers shot 288 (+4) on Sunday to finish the event at 588 (+20) to win the championship, holding off host Williams 589 (+21). Sam Goldenring of Williams claimed the individual title on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff over Jack Habeeb of Hamilton. Both players finished the 36-hole event at 141 (-1).

Max Emmerich, finished tied for 63rd with a final score of 158 (80, 78 +16). Aaron Paskowski (t-69, 79, 80 +17), Christian McKenna (t-109, 90, 79 +27) and Nick Sheehan (t-120, 83, 93 +34) completed the field for Salem State.
