Vikings Open 2019 Campaign at 36th Annual Duke Nelson Tournament

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Salem State began 2019 play at the 36th annual Duke Nelson Tournament hosted by Middlebury College this past weekend. The Vikings were led by Max Emmerich, who tied for 50th, among the 23-team field. New York University won the event with a 579 team-score, 10 strokes ahead of runner-up Williams. Salem State finished the two-event with a team-score of 631.

Robbie Keyes of NYU took home medalist honors with a (143, 75-68).

Emmerich shot a 154 (79-75) a respectable showing as Salem State featured a new lineup, with four new golfers making their first tournament start. Aaron Paskowski (t-71, 157, 78-79) and Ian Paskowski (t-77, 159, 80-79) followed for the Vikings while Ryan Ren (t-90, 163, 83-80) and Matt Godbout (t-93, 164, 81-83) rounded out the field for Salem State.
