2nd Annual George “Jake” Jacobson Invitational Golf Tournament - Monday, July 22nd
Dear Golf Alumni and Friends,
You are cordially invited to the 2nd Annual George "Jake" Jacobson Invitational, sponsored by the Salem State Golf Team. The tournament will be held Monday, July 22 , 201 9 , at Four Oaks Country Club, 80 Meadow Creek Drive, Dracut, MA.
Last year's inaugural event was great fun and a big success. We guarantee more of the same this year. Same great place , but new time . On course registration and festivities begin at 1:00pm. Boxed lunch will be provided. The putting and chipping competition, refereed once again by Jake, will begin at 1:00pm, followed by a 2:15pm shotgun start, bramble format.
The player-sponsor registration form is enclosed. Be sure to return your entry as soon as possible. The number of players will be capped at 128 (32 foursomes). Four Oaks is an outstanding venue and Head Pro, Tony Martinho, a fellow SSU Golf Alumnae, has promised a great day!
A fabulous Italian buffet dinner, along with FANTASTIC PRIZES AND RAFFLE ITEMS, will follow completion of play. If you're unable to play but would like to join us for dinner and raffles, please do.
The event will continue to honor Peter Bruni. The monies we raise will support the Salem State Golf Team and the Peter Bruni Junior Golf Program at Salem State, which provides free golf clubs and lessons for up to 25 young girls and boys each year! If you're able to donate to the raffle prizes, please let us know and thank you!
