Salem State Places 13th at Williams Invitational

Williamstown, MA - Salem State finished 13th at the 2018 Williams College Invitational Tournament this past weekend. The event was played, at the par-71 Taconic Golf Club where Eric Powers (Danvers, Mass.) led the Vikings, tying for 23rd place with a two-day 154 (77, 77 +12). Salem State scored 643 (317, 326 +75) as a team to finish behind team-champion Williams, 588 (296, 292 +20). Sam Goldenring of Williams took medalist honors, with a score of 140, (39, 71 -2).

Justin Serowik (Marblehead, Mass.), who shot a 79 in the opening round round, finished tied for 57th with a final score of 161 (79, 82 +19). Reed Bourgeois (Dracut, Mass.) and Christian McKenna (Danvers, Mass.) both tied for 74th with a score of 164 (+22) while Nick Sheehan (West Newbury, Mass.) completed the field with a 171, tying for 84th (86, 85 +29).
