HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Martin got the Falcons on the board at the 6:17 mark of the first period as she skated the length of the ice and buried a shot past the right side of Salem State goaltender, Kaia Hollingsworth to make it a 1-0 game. It was Martin's fifth goal of the season.

However, just 77 seconds later, Contreras tied it up for Albertus as she took a rebound after back-to-back shots from Gabriella Dellacroce and stuffed it past Hollingsworth for her third goal of the season.
  • The two teams remained tied going into the third period and would remain so when Robert scored her second goal of the game, and eventual game-winner 5:48 into the period as she scored on a power play as she found herself with an open shot after skating around the net and taking a shot that beat Christmas Johnson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) to make it a 3-2 game.
