Bio
William Gillis served as the College’s Athletic Director from 1975 to 1980. Prior to that he coached Baseball, Track & Field, and Cross Country. Bill established the Salem State College Classic Ice Hockey and Basketball Tournaments in addition to the Athletic Training program. During his tenure as the Athletic Director, SSC won the coveted Smith and Cup four times. Bill is an associate professor in the College’s Sports, Fitness, and Leisure Department.
