Bio

Thomas Tobey was a four-year member of the men's golf program, earning All-American status in 1988 and 1989. A co-medalist at the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championship in 1986 he was also a co-medalist at the ECAC Championships and the Toski Tournament in 1987, capping the year by winning the NCAA Division III Long Drive Championship. In 1988 he finished fifth at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships before winning the event a year later with a record low round of 139 (69-70).  A three-time All-New England selection, he helped Salem State to three Northeast qualifying round championships, including medalist honors in 1987. Tobey also appeared in four NCAA Tournament Championships, helping the Vikings to three-top 10 finishes, including a sixth place finish in 1986.
