Bio

A resident of Amesbury, Scott Kimball was and still is the highest professional baseball draft pick (10 round) to be chosen in SSC baseball history. Scott, a right-handed pitcher, enjoyed a rare double pleasure when at the conclusion of his junior year in 1987 he was selected by Major League Baseball’s Milwaukee Brewers and named an All-American. Mr. Kimball, who possessed a nearly unhittable slider, established himself as one of the most dominant hurlers in SSC hardball history. Scott fashioned a 21-7 career record despite missing his entire senior year with arm trouble. However, his three-year numbers were outstanding: 204 strikeouts over 178 innings pitched, 13 complete games, a no-hitter and a school record 19 strikeouts in one game. His record of 98 strikeouts in a season and 31 career starts still stand almost a decade later.
