Bio

Sandra Purcell, a native of Danvers, was one of the College’s top female athletes from 1955 to 1959, she excelled in seven different sports as a member of the Women’s Athletic Association (WAA). Sandra, was nominated by 67 alumni for Salem State College’s Hall of Fame honors. She competed in WAA field hockey, golf, basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball and archery competitions. Since her graduation from the College, Sandra has been dedicated alumnae, serving on the Alumni Association Board of Directors, and volunteering many hours of service for various alumni programs.
