Bio

Hired as Salem State's first full-time sports information director, Tom Roundy spent 27 years in the athletic department researching, writing and promoting the college's student-athletes. Roundy covered more than 1,500 Salem State athletic events in his two-plus decades of service, including 10 Final Fours. Roundy also served as media liaison and statistician for over 100 NCAA, ECAC, MASCAC and Invitational Tournaments hosted by Salem State. He was also appointed the first MASCAC publicity director in 1990, a position he held for seven years. As sports information director, Roundy was instrumental in the formation of the Athletic Hall of Fame at Salem State in 1986, serving on the Hall of Fame Selection Committee as a charter member for 23 years. In addition, Roundy also spent five seasons (1985-1990) as the assistant baseball coach at Salem State, during which time the Vikings averaged 25 wins per season, including an ECAC New England championship in 1987.
