Bio

Jim Hounam, a native of Salisbury, MA, was the baseball program’s first ever All-American selection, achieving that distinction as one of the nation’s premier performers when he batted .472 in 1986. A four-year standout at catcher and two time MASCAC All-Star, Jim batted .401 for his career while blasting 27 home runs, collecting 123 runs batted in, scoring 130 runs and accumulating 279 total bases. All-New England and All-Northeast as a junior, he captained the 1987 squad which captured the ECAC New England Championship. Jim was chosen SSC’s top male athlete for 1986-87.
