Bio

A resident of Salem, Henrique Silva was a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCA) All-American selection and a two-time Addidas Academic All-American. During his four-year Salem State College Career, Henrique tallied 31 goals from his center midfield position. Henrique was chosen a first team NSCA All-American in 1991 after leading the Vikings in scoring with 13 goals and 13 assists. A native of San Paulo, Brazil, Henrique was honored with the Howard C. Smith Scholar Athlete Award – which is given to the students MASCAC’s top student male athlete-his senior year. A two-time team captain and Dean’s list member all eight semesters he attended Salem State College, Henrique helped lead the Vikings to the NCAA Final Four in 1998 and 1990. Henrique, who was a two-time Salem State College Presidential Leadership award recipient and Salem State College’s top male athlete for 1991-92, was the only Division 3 player chosen to play for the East Squad in the 1992 Major Soccer League (MSL) College All Star Game.
