Bio

During her four years on the gymnastics team, Sauchuk won MVP honors her freshman, sophomore and junior years and the Coaches Award her senior year. She was captain for three years. In 1976 she was named Salem State College Student Athlete of the Year. She qualified for national competition during her last three seasons and was selected as an alternate in the Eastern Regional Competition for the Olympic Trials in 1978. Sauchuk also compete for one year on the women’s track team.

Since graduation from the College, Sauchuk has remained active in gymnastics serving as the coach of the Salem High School varsity team. In 1980 she was named the Salem News Coach of the Year. The mother of three children, Michael, Jennifer and Julie Marie, she resides in Peabody with her husband, Michael.
