Bio

A native of Buffalo, New York, Dan was a four-year performer for Head Coach Mike Gilligan in hockey and Head Coach Grant Longley in tennis.

Dan holds the single season record for most goals by an SSC hockey player with 30. He helped lead SSC to four Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) ice hockey playoff appearances. He was also an integral member of two NCAA tennis tournament qualifiers. Those who have seen him play know him best as “Dancing Dan.”

Dan, a speedy forward, scored the first-ever goal at the Richard Rockett Ice Arena in 1976. He finished as the team’s leading scorer in his senior year, when Salem finished fourth in the nation. He closed out his ice hockey career with 193 points. Dan earned All Tournament Honors in hockey at the University of Maine Invitational, the Merrimack Invitational and the Cod Fish Tournament.
