Bio

A resident of Saugus, Carla Scuzzarella served as head coach of the women’s gymnastics program from 1984 through 1990, its final year of competition. Carla directed the women’s team to four consecutive New England titles (1985-1989) and an ECAC title during her six year tenure. 

She was named N.E Division III Coach of the Year in 1986, 1987, 1988 &1989, and MIAA North District Coach of the Year in 1984. 

Carla’s teams compiled a dual meet won-loss record of 54 victories against just 16 defeats and the 1986-87 team posted an undefeated (10-0) regular season record, four of her squads represented the college in the national tournament competitions. She completed her masters degree in Political Science from Boston College in 1996 and currently serves as principal at North Andover High School.
