Bio

A faculty member at Salem State College since 1964, Urbanski coached ice hockey at the College for eleven years compiling a 137-64-4 career record. His .682 winning percentage places him among the top four coaches in New England’s College Division. In 1975 he received the Edward Jeramiah NCAA Ice Hockey Association Award as Coach of the Year. Urbanski served as Departmental Chairperson from 1972-1975.

 

A graduate of Boston University where he also earned a masters degree, Urbanski received All American honors as a goaltender during his own playing days. In addition to his coaching and teaching duties at the College he played for eight years in the New England Ice Hockey League and has been involved with the Danvers Baseball League. He is active in several professional organizations. He and his wife, Judith (Moulton) make their home in Danvers, Massachusetts. They have three daughters, Gayle, Lynne and Donna.
