Amy received her bachelor’s degree in office administration from Salem State College in 2000. She was a four-year performer at forward and a three-year captain of the SSC women’s basketball team. She scored 1,131 points during her college career (9^th all time at SSC), collected 563 rebounds (9^thall time SSC) and recorded 177 blocked shots (2^nd all time at SSC). Amy was selected as a Kodak District 1 Regional All-American, first team All-New England and first team All-MASCAC. She was also selected as a New England Coaches’ Association all-star. The Lady Vikings captured four MASCAC championships, and appeared in four NCAA tournaments, including a trip to the 1995 Final Four, during Amy’s career.
